Planning ahead is important to make your move abroad as smooth as possible. We will find out in advance the conditions at the moving location and the number of belongings, and we will book a suitable car and professional staff for the move.
We use our own vehicles and experienced drivers with years of experience working abroad.
Where are you moving to?
We operate daily between Finland, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Luxembourg.
We operate weekly in southern Sweden, the UK, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and Austria.
We also have occasional services to countries such as Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, Portugal and Greece.

The price of abroad moving
The cost of moving abroad varies depending on the size of the dwelling, the number of belongings and the circumstances of the move. The moving distance, the timing of the move and international transport regulations all affect the cost of the move.

Special transport and storage
We also handle special transports abroad. For example, if you need a piano, grand piano or a difficult to transport piece of art, be sure to mention it in your request for a quote!
We also have storage space if your move abroad is temporary and you don’t want to take everything with you. Our terminals for long-term storage are located in Jyväskylä and Vuosaare in Helsinki.
Storage takes place in plywood containers of around 7m3, which are kept in a warm, locked warehouse. The storage period can vary from one day to several years depending on your needs. We only charge for the storage days used according to the quantity of goods used.
We can also transport your goods to and from the warehouse.
Transport insurance
Our staff are experienced and professional, but sometimes accidents happen. If we cause damage to your property when you move in, our liability insurance will cover the damage to your property.
We also have road haulage insurance under the Road Haulage Act. This insurance covers €20 per kg for damage caused by Jylhä’s staff to the customer’s movable property during the move.
If you wish, you can take out additional insurance for the duration of the move. This one-off transport insurance may cover all the furniture or a single item of particular value. It is a good idea to take this into account before you move if your belongings include valuable works of art, musical instruments or furniture, for example.
